Coping with Immigration on Both Sides of the Atlantic: A Synthesis for the Debat

ABSTRACT
This paper deals with some of the major worries arousing from the current public management of the migratory phenomenon. By being the starting point that every immigration policy is based upon both minimising push factors (from sending-countries) and maximizing integration processes (in destination ones), it is observed that the third pillar of immigration policy prevails as a matter of fact: frontier control, which at the same time is mostly framed in securitarian and identitarian terms.
