RESUMEN

En septiembre de 1907 Málaga sufrió una inundación catastrófica que marcó la memoria de todos sus habitantes. La ayuda de diversos países americanos, en especial Argentina, fue inmediata y se materializó en el envío de donativos que permitieron, en un primer momento, el auxilio humanitario y, más tarde, la construcción de viviendas para los damnificados por la riada. El eco en los medios de comunicación de entonces permite conocer ahora cómo se gestaron estos socorros y nos enlaza con la memoria de esta solidaridad que todavía se conserva en las calles de la ciudad de Málaga.

ABSTRACT

In September of 1907 Malaga suffered a catastrophic flood that marked the memory of all his inhabitants. The aid of diverse American countries, especially Argentina, was immediate and materialized in the sending of donations that allowed, at the first moment, the humanitarian help and, later, the construction of housings for the flood-affected. The echo in the media of then allows to know now how these aids were managed and binds us to the memory of this solidarity that is still preserved in the streets of the city of Malaga.
